Congratulations King and Katie Garthwaite!!

Katie did such an amazing job. She was rodeoing hard on her mare Frenchie and would have only 1 or 2 rides on King before going to a futurity. Toward the end of the season she took King on the road and placed on him at his first pro rodeo in Okotoks. Frenchie and King stood tied at the trailer together, and King behaved like the perfect gentleman. He is such a great horse to be around!

Congratulations to Fiesta Royale for his success January at the Classic Equine Futurity in Buckeye, AZ.


Farmfair Team Roping Futurity 2012 3rd in the heading, 3487.86

It had been 2 years since Fiesta Royale was team roped on at Brent Lewis's near Eloy. Brent had him ready to go heading and heeling so entering him at the Canadian National Team Roping Futurity in Edmonton, AB Thursday November 8th, 2012 during the Canadian Finals Rodeo seemed like a good idea, and it was! 
Brent and King finished 3rd in the heading. Brent had flown up from AZ on the Monday, roped on King twice at Skocdopole's arena by Big Valley, then went up to Edmonton in a snow storm Wednesday for the Futurity Thursday. Stacy Cornet was on the heeling side and had a smokin' second run! Stacy had ridden King for the first time on Tuesday before the Futurity! King was amazing, working both sides like he had been team roping on both ends all along.
